For a European digital platform operating in the online auction industry, we are looking for a QA Automation Lead. The organisation develops and manages multiple online auction platforms where thousands of users actively participate in real time bidding every day.
The IT organisation consists of several agile product teams working on frontend applications, platform development and real time features. The tech stack is modern and cloud native, with a strong focus on scalability, performance and reliability.

Role
As QA Automation Lead you own the quality of the frontend platform. You combine hands on automation with strategic ownership, ensuring reliable releases across high traffic, real time applications.
Your core focus:
• Build and maintain scalable Cypress automation frameworks
• Safeguard critical user journeys such as browsing, bidding and payments
• Increase automation coverage across devices and responsive flows
• Integrate testing seamlessly into CI CD pipelines
Beyond execution, you shape the broader QA direction. You define standards, introduce best practices and create visibility through metrics and reporting. You actively embed shift left testing and represent quality in technical and architectural discussions.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who:
• Has 5+ years of experience in QA automation with strong Cypress expertise
• Has experience testing React or Next.js applications
• Has integrated automation into CI CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps
• Understands cloud environments, ideally Azure
• Has experience mentoring or leading QA engineers
• Communicates clearly about quality risks and technical trade offs
