Senior Software Engineer
Build the backbone of tomorrow’s financial infrastructure.
We're scaling fast and looking for a senior software engineer who wants to leave a mark on the fundtech space. Ready to innovate with us?
About the company
Founded in 2006, AssetCare operates at the intersection of institutional investing and technology. We support investment funds with administration, data infrastructure, and reporting across a wide range of asset classes—from equities to private equity and beyond. Our clients manage portfolios ranging from €5 million to several billion euros.
What sets us apart is our fundtech approach: we build our own technology in-house, including the AssetCare Portal and the AssetCare Datacenter, which automatically collects, processes, and presents financial data. This gives fund managers and their investors real-time insights into performance and key fund metrics. AssetCare is growing rapidly and currently transitioning to a fully scalable tech-driven platform.
We are a team of around 30 professionals working in a collaborative, informal culture where ownership, initiative, and team spirit are key. Our office is located on the 19th floor of the Mondriaan Tower in Amsterdam, offering stunning views of the city.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (32–40 hours/week) to join our Data & Engineering team. This team is responsible for building and scaling our fundtech platform. We're entering a crucial new phase aimed at developing a fully end-to-end digital solution. A major pillar in this is expanding the AssetCare Datacenter—our platform that automatically ingests, processes, and distributes investment data.
You'll work closely with the Fund Administration team to identify bottlenecks and build scalable, automated solutions. The Datacenter processes transactions and positions from brokers, crypto exchanges, custodians, blockchains, and banks, and generates automated reports for regulatory bodies like the AFM and DNB. You’ll also contribute to key innovation projects such as:
- Integrating new data sources to further automate fund administration
- Developing smart validation tools to ensure seamless data reconciliation with external platforms
- Creating an integrated fund dashboard that unifies all data streams and analytics
- Scaling the platform to calculate indicative fund values daily for hundreds of funds simultaneously
Your work will directly contribute to fundamental innovation within the investment fund industry. You’ll have real impact from day one, with ownership and growth opportunities in a fast-moving, mission-driven company.
''In this role, there's a lot of room to take initiative. Everyone is supportive, but you need to be intrinsically motivated to dig deep and take ownership." — Hans Becker, Lead Software Engineer
