Senior QA Engineer

Here, you’ll take the driver’s seat. As Lead QA Engineer, you’ll define the test strategy, set up automation from the ground up, and guide a growing team towards a true quality-first mindset. The platform you’ll be working on is already live, used daily by professionals across Europe — and scaling fast.
Company profile
Our client is an international SaaS scale-up in the education industry. They are merging multiple local learning platforms into one central European product. Already active in several countries, with thousands of professionals relying on the platform every day.
The engineering organisation is growing and consists of 11 developers, 4 product owners, and 1 designer. QA is still young: currently one manual tester plus some external support. That’s why they need a senior to lead the way in automation, architecture, and QA best practices.
Job description
As Senior QA Engineer, you will:

Define and own the overall QA and test automation strategy.

Build reliable E2E tests with Playwright (Typescript/Javascript).

Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for quality at speed.

Guide the shift-left adoption — QA from the very start of development.

Mentor developers and QA colleagues in testing practices.

Be the go-to person for quality-related decisions across teams.
Job Requirements

6+ years of QA/test automation experience.

Proven track record in setting up QA frameworks and strategies.

Hands-on with Playwright (or Cypress/Selenium + Typescript).

SaaS/multi-tenant product testing experience.

Strong communicator and natural mentor.

Fluent in English, EU-based, available 2 days per week in Utrecht.
Terms of Employment

Salary up to €6.000/month.
