About the company
With nearly 4 million customers, our client is the market leader in online sales of printers and office supplies. This success is largely due to their own developed e-commerce platform and ERP system. Not only do clients use this platform, but also their sister companies and international web shops. As a PHP Developer, you'll play a direct role in supporting multiple web shops in various European countries.
The IT department of our partner currently consists of around 50 highly experienced employees, possessing a wealth of knowledge and expertise. In this environment filled with experienced developers, you'll learn at a rapid pace, which in turn will offer numerous career opportunities within the organization. The department is growing rapidly with the goal of expanding to 10 scrum teams.
Regarding the work environment, there's an informal atmosphere within the IT department. Besides hard work, there's also plenty of room for enjoyment!
What will you be doing?
You'll be assigned to one of the six scrum teams, where you'll work independently as well as in a team on the development of internal applications. This could involve adding new features to the web shops or improving the logistics systems. Our client constantly strives for improvement! If one of your colleagues encounters a problem, you're expected to step in and help find a solution.
Moreover, there are special innovation days reserved where you can work on innovative projects that interest you. Unleash your creativity on the most challenging issues and make improvements that benefit the entire company. The possibilities are endless.
The technical stack includes PHP Symfony, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Redis, and MySQL 8. Our partner ensures that these technologies stay up-to-date and are open to new ideas and technologies. If you're not afraid of complex migrations and have experience developing entirely new technical features, they could use your help! Our partner uses Symfony as a foundation for backend code and TypeScript for frontend development.
Job requirements
- HBO level of thinking and working
- Experience with PHP OOP is second nature to you.
- Knowledge of TypeScript is a plus.
- You're eager to learn and ambitious.
