Job Description
As Data Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the organization’s next-generation cloud-based data infrastructure. Your focus will be on delivering a secure, well-governed, and scalable platform using Microsoft Azure and Databricks, replacing existing tools like Snowflake. You’ll work across engineering and business domains to align architecture with strategic goals.
Key responsibilities:

Design and implement a scalable data warehouse architecture using Azure and Databricks

Lead the migration of legacy systems such as Snowflake

Develop and enforce data governance policies (data quality, access control, compliance)

Collaborate with international business and tech teams to translate requirements into technical design

Provide technical leadership to the data engineering team

Stay current with trends in cloud data platforms and apply best practices
Job Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, preferably in cloud environments

Strong hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks, SQL, DBT, and ETL/ELT pipelines

In-depth knowledge of data modeling, integration architecture, and governance frameworks

Experience working in complex, international organizations with multiple stakeholders

Fluent in English and proficient in Dutch (minimum B1) for internal communication

You must be based in the Netherlands and hold a valid EU work permit or permanent residence
Employment Conditions

Gross monthly salary: €4.300 – €6.200, depending on experience

Additional flexible benefits budget (usable for extra pay, leave days, or pension)
