Our backend is written in TypeScript. The frontend is built in Angular. Everything runs on Amazon Web Services using Lambda and other serverless tools.We use GraphQL where it makes sense. Performance and simplicity guide every decision.

We are not dependent on external funding and have no financial runway concerns. That gives us the space to focus on building something solid, not rushed.

Role description

You will join our backend team to build and improve the foundation of our platform. You will work on our data pipeline and core services in TypeScript. You will write simple, well structured code that is easy to understand and even easier to change.
We value clarity over cleverness. Structure over shortcuts.

You will work closely with the CTO, the principal engineer and our frontend team. This is a backend role, but you will be expected to understand the bigger picture and contribute across the stack when needed.

Your work includes:

• Writing backend logic in TypeScript using Amazon Web Services

• Building and connecting services across our data pipeline

• Creating code that is easy to read, easy to test and easy to improve

• Solving problems with clean architecture, not hacks

• Improving speed and cost efficiency without adding complexity

• Collaborating with frontend engineers and technical leadership

• Giving input on design and technical decisions as the product grows

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in backend development

• Strong experience with TypeScript is essential

• Comfortable working with Amazon services like Lambda, S3, DynamoDB and SQS

• Experience with other languages such as Python, Go or Java is a plus

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Fluent in English

• You live within two hours of Central European Time

• A twelve month contract as an independent contributor with a total comp of maximum €55k based on experience
