The company is building two main products:

• A medical app that uses wearables and journaling to help people better understand symptoms and reduce stress.

• A clinical trial platform that enables hospitals and research institutes to more efficiently include and manage participants, built on international standards such as FHIR/HL7.

Role description

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for further developing and stabilizing the backend that powers both products. You will work daily with Golang to build scalable, reliable services, create integrations with medical standards, and implement new features such as audio and video streaming.

You will collaborate closely with mobile developers and data scientists to bring AI models into production. Your role goes beyond development: you will raise the bar for code quality, perform code reviews, establish solid testing and CI/CD practices, and guide the team to the next level. You will also contribute to architectural decisions and the setup of our development environment, helping prepare the company for its next growth phase.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience as a backend developer, with proven production experience in Golang, NodeJS, and TypeScript.

• Experience with DTAP environments, data warehouses, scalability, and maintaining production platforms.

• Familiar with tools and technologies such as GraphQL, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, IaC, RESTful APIs, and cloud architecture.

• Strong communication skills; you are used to sharing knowledge and guiding others.

• Resident of the Netherlands and holder of a BSN (preferably based in the Groningen region).
