A healthtech software company in Amsterdam builds digital products for surgical education and operating room support. Their software is used by hospitals, universities and medical teams worldwide.

The company is in the middle of a technical transition. For years, development was outsourced. Now, the entire engineering organisation is being rebuilt inhouse.

That means:

• not everything is clean yet

• architecture decisions are still being shaped

• technical debt exists and needs to be addressed properly

There is one engineering team working across multiple related products. No strict silos, no agency style delivery. Engineers are expected to think in systems, not just features.

The environment is international, English speaking and engineering driven. Hybrid setup with an Amsterdam office.

Role description

As a Senior Angular Developer, you are expected to operate independently from day one.

You will work on:

• a web application used by surgical teams to prepare and support procedures

• internal admin tooling supporting medical workflows

• shared frontend architecture and technical standards

Your responsibilities go beyond implementation:

• Design and build complex Angular features using TypeScript

• Take ownership of frontend architecture and code quality

• Identify structural issues and propose long term solutions

• Actively reduce technical debt instead of working around it

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers in a serverless AWS environment

• Translate complex medical workflows into clear, usable interfaces

If you are looking for clearly scoped tickets and hand held delivery, this is not the role.

Requirements

Required:

• 6+ years of professional frontend experience

• Strong production experience with Angular and TypeScript

• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, state management, routing and forms

• Experience with testing and CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to work autonomously and make technical decisions

• Fluent English communication

Nice to have:

• Experience with modern Angular versions

• Experience designing or maintaining design systems

• Background in regulated environments such as healthcare or finance

• Interest in AI driven features or data intensive applications

Conditions

• Salary up to €75.000 gross per year

• Exceptional profiles up to €80.000

• Hybrid working model with 2 office days per week in Amsterdam
