A regulated crypto broker is looking for a Finance Specialist / Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting, month-end closings, and process improvement in a fast-moving fintech environment.

This regulated crypto broker, based in the Netherlands with offices in Amsterdam and Nijmegen, aims to make crypto trading simple, secure, and accessible. With tens of thousands of transactions per day, finance plays a central role — ensuring accurate reporting, cash flow insights, and compliance with regulations (DNB).
The finance team is small, close-knit, and highly collaborative, giving you real ownership and direct impact on the organization. You’ll work an average of three days per week at the office location of your choice (Amsterdam or Nijmegen) and once every two weeks at the other site for alignment. If needed, travel or hotel arrangements can be provided. After onboarding, a flexible hybrid work model is available.
Job Description
As a Finance Specialist / Financial Accountant, you will:

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings

Prepare financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for management and auditors

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and support audits in a DNB-regulated environment

Improve financial processes, reporting, and workflow efficiency

Collaborate with operations and trading teams to ensure accurate processing of both crypto and fiat transactions
Requirements
-
4+ years of experience as a Financial Controller, GL Accountant, or Assistant Accountant

Proven experience with month-end and year-end closings, and financial reporting

Hands-on, precise, and proactive mindset

Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

Based in the Netherlands with valid EU work or residence rights (no visa sponsorship available)

3 days per week at the office (Amsterdam or Nijmegen)
