As a Backend Engineer, you will help build the core of a fast-growing healthtech platform from scratch. You’ll work on designing the backend architecture, setting up core services, and creating the foundation the business will scale on.

About the Company
This healthtech scale-up is growing rapidly and already serves thousands of users across Europe. The next step is rebuilding their current setup into a scalable in-house platform.
Right now, systems are fragmented. Your job is to help turn that into a solid, scalable backend.
Role Overview
This is a foundational engineering role. You’ll be one of the first backend engineers shaping architecture, making technical decisions, and building core systems from the ground up.
What you’ll do
- Build backend services in Python (FastAPI)
- Design system architecture and core backend structure
- Set up scalable foundations for future growth
- Define how different systems interact
- Work closely with product and leadership on technical direction
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python in production
- Experience building systems from scratch or early-stage platforms
- Solid understanding of system design and architecture
- Experience with cloud (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, less structured environment

- Experience in startups or scale-ups
- Experience with FastAPI
- Experience designing scalable architectures
What’s offered
- Salary between €7,000 – €10,000 per month
