Azure API Integration Engineer
AppyThings is hiring an Azure focused integration engineer who builds API and event based connectivity for enterprise environments. You design secure and scalable integrations using Azure API Management and serverless components.

AppyThings is a Dutch integration consultancy specialised in designing, securing and managing API landscapes. They help large organisations build digital ecosystems by connecting systems in smart, maintainable and secure ways.
They work with Azure, GCP, Apigee, Kong and Kafka. Their integrations support digital identity, real time logistics, data ingestion and mission critical applications used by millions.
Consultancy skills matter here. The team is social, curious and collaborative. Engineers are expected to communicate clearly, be pro active and represent AppyThings with quality and confidence at clients.
Role description
You join the Azure integration team and design how systems communicate across cloud and on premise environments. You do not build product features. You create the integration layer that keeps enterprise platforms reliable and secure.
Your work includes:

Designing APIs and integrations using Azure API Management

Working with serverless components like Azure Functions

Using Event Grid, Event Hub or Service Bus

Building CI CD pipelines

Automating infrastructure using Terraform

Advising clients on patterns, scalability and security

Collaborating closely with architects, developers and product teams

Communicating proactively and representing AppyThings professionally
This role is open to mediors and seniors. You must live in the Netherlands.
Requirements
Must have

Hands on Azure experience

Background in building integrations beyond simple REST endpoints

Experience with API security, versioning, governance and monitoring

Terraform and CI CD knowledge

Strong communication skills and pro active mindset

Comfortable in client facing consultancy

Fluent English and based in the Netherlands
Big pluses

Experience with event driven systems

Familiarity with Kong or GCP
