Job description
You’ll join a cross‑functional squad of backend and frontend engineers, UX designers and QA specialists. Together you’ll build and maintain our multi‑tenant, multilingual Laravel platform that powers scalable learning experiences. This isn’t just a coding job; you will redefine how software is built in an AI‑first world.
Expect to own features end‑to‑end: you’ll design architectures, implement and test them, monitor their performance and continuously refine them. You’ll harness AI to scaffold tests, generate data fixtures, analyse logs, propose refactoring options and validate architectural decisions. You’ll mentor peers in Laravel and AI‑assisted development and contribute to our internal AI Engineering Playbook.
You’ll collaborate daily with product and design teams to turn ideas into features, improve our developer experience and continuously seek ways to weave AI into our workflows. If you aspire to grow, there’s room to step into lead or architect roles as we expand.
Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years in software engineering and at least 3–5 years hands‑on with Laravel (PHP 8.x).
- Skills: deep understanding of SOLID principles, Clean Code and test‑driven development; strong MySQL/Aurora performance tuning; experience building complex, mission‑critical platforms.
- Mindset: proactive, experimental and eager to integrate AI into your workflow; ownership of your work from design to deployment.
- Communication: fluency in English (C1+) or Dutch and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Nice to have: multi‑tenant SaaS experience, Livewire/Filament, AWS Vapor, Terraform or Docker; Playwright E2E testing; experience in regulated industries or large data migrations; hands‑on with AI agents or tools.
