Job description

• Build and maintain features in Ruby on Rails, from design to production
• Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Write clean, well-tested code (RSpec/Minitest) and work within CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with product and engineering on architecture and best practices
• Take ownership of modules and drive features from request to deployment
• Contribute to reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails (backend development)
• Strong knowledge of APIs and relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD workflows
• Proactive and communicative, comfortable in a small team environment
• Dutch language required; English is a plus
• Based in the Netherlands (or nearby), available for 2+ days/week on-site
• Valid EU work permit required — no visa sponsorship
